Jessica Lang

Jessica is eleven-years old and currently taking tap, ballet jazz and acrobatics at Sierra Dance Institute (SDI). She began dance at the age of four when her mother taught ballet at Rising Starz Gymnastics. She studied dance with Laura Bishop until age eight when she transferred to SDI.

Jessica also trained for two years at Stellar Gymnastics and competed at the team level in 2005. She has studied martial arts for one year and traveled to Hollywood in 2005 and 2006 where she took ballet, jazz and hip hop with professional instructors at The Edge and studied Aerial Dance with Ingrid Hoffman at Focus Fish with AirAligned aerial dance group.

In September 2006 Jessica had a lesson in flying trapeze with Trapeze Arts out of Oakland. Jessica has performed in local shows for convalescent and assisted living facilities with the group "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing." She had a ballet role in the 2004 Nutcracker Suites at The Center for the Arts in Grass Valley. She has also performed with AirAligned in December 2005 in Sacramento at the Garbeau Dinner Theater and has been featured as a soloist and a principal dancer in several AirAligned children's workshops including performances in the Stars Show at the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley.

Most recently, Jessica traveled to San Francisco with SDI to study with professional teachers at the Joe Tremain Dance Convention. Jessica was inspired by the instructors and is now taking six dance classes per week at SDI.
